The inverted spindle considerably simplifies loading and unloading via the built-in gantry loader. Free chip removal permits greater precision during machining. The ample work area window on the Challenger pick-up vertical turning machine also enables flexible feeding.

Multi-functional SMS Challenger pick-up vertical turning machines enable turning, drilling, milling, grinding and thread cutting at top production quality. The servo motor is directly coupled with the ball screw drive to ensure maximum performance and precision.
